Who can use your lease-to-own program?

Our program is open to a wide range of clients—including families, group home operators, Airbnb hosts, senior living providers, corporate housing managers, travel nurse hosts, and more. If you need a flexible path to property use or ownership, we can help.

Do I need perfect credit or a bank loan to qualify?

No. Our lease-to-own program does not require perfect credit or traditional bank financing. We offer alternative paths to property access and ownership.

Can I use the property for business purposes (e.g., group home, Airbnb, corporate housing)?

Yes! Many of our clients use our properties for business or investment purposes. If you plan to operate a business, you must carry general liability insurance starting at $1,000,000 (coverage may increase based on your business and use model) and list Home Key Sold as an additional insured party for everyone’s protection.

What is an option fee, and how does it work?

The option fee is a one-time payment that secures your right to purchase the property at a set price within a specified period. The amount varies based on your chosen plan.

What happens if I decide not to buy?

The option fee is non-refundable, but you are not obligated to purchase. You can simply complete your lease term and walk away if you choose.

How is the purchase process handled?

All closings and transactions are conducted at a third-party title company for all parties’ security and peace of mind. If you choose owner financing, all payments are escrowed and made to a third-party servicing company, in compliance with Texas law.

What’s the deal with owner financing and Texas law?

If you choose the owner finance option, Texas law requires that you (the tenant-buyer) be approved by a licensed Residential Mortgage Loan Originator (RMLO). This is to ensure everyone’s protected and the transaction is fully compliant.
